Elementary/Sherlock: stimulus by maryfgr23 Elementary/Sherlock: stimulus by maryfgr23
Hi fellow Sherlock fans! Sorry it's been so long since an update. Life's been happening and such but I'm glad I've had a short breather to do this (and by breather I mean storm which kept me at home instead of work). Thank you for your patience though! I love all the great comments!
This one was something like a conversation I heard Esherlock say in passing to BBCsherlock in my head and it was just hilarious.
Ah and I'm glad to include the bee Esherlock named after Watson for this one.
Real glad to have the boys drinking something a bit more metropolitan than tea this time as well.
I do hope you all get the "dinner" reference here. ;)

It shows how misunderstood asexuals are.

It's kind of sad, but this reminds me of a conversation I had with a friend about my asexuality.

It was one of those big differences I noticed between those two modern Sherlocks, the virgin and the deviant, love how you had them discussing that in front of bees, especially when that other comic had Clyde, I'm going to expect Romulus and Remus in one of your comics now XD

Me: *smacks elementary sherlock* No you leave Mr.Holmes alone we don't want him with one of your hook-ups, he can always go to John for his needs.
John: Hey!
Sherlock: That is quite true,I may be asexual but for a case,if optimum levels were unable to be provided the usual way I would happily resort to such tactics.
Me: Exactly.
John: HEY!!

Me: Oh quiet John,we all know you wouldn't mind if it got sherlock to at least pay you some attention.

Ah yes. The virgin vs the sexual deviant. Two very different looks at the character. Nice to see them talk about it!

According to Steven Moffat, BBC!Sherlock isn't asexual, because asexuals are too boring to write about. Of course, being an asexual, I disagree to an alarming amount.

Really, I've always thought Sherlock is asexual, he's never shown any interest in sex, I don't think he really even have romantic feels other than some hints towards possible feelings towards Irene and a surprise kiss to Molly in the beginning of season 3.

I have personally neeeeeever ever liked Sherlock/Irene outside of the RDJ movies. Bc in the original story I really just didn't see romantic tension at all and Watson says several times that Sherlock doesn't feel things like that.

Asexual most definitely! I think maybe homoromantic, if he's romantic at all. 'Cause you know, Victor Trevor and John Watson...

idk, I can't really see Elementary's Sherlock saying something like that. two reasons-
1) I don't think he would mock someone's sexual orientation/sexual preferences/gender
2) I still  read him as ace spectrum.
also, anytime he starts to sound like moffat&gatiss, he's already broken character.

Well I appreciate your loyalty to the character but when I heard this in my head, he wasn't really riffing BBCSherlock's sexual orientation per say. For one thing, it's never actually confirmed by BBCsherlock himself what his orientation is, and thus neither is the BBCsherlock in this comic. We dub him asexual out of speculation. Also note that I did not specify if Esherlock would set him up with a man or woman so he's also actually quite open to the whatever preference BBCsherlock may have. Personally, this little banter about sex was just Esherlock's way of juxtaposing again one of BBCsherlock's lifestyle that's completely opposite to his own. I apologize if I made out Esherlock a bit nasty, but the first line was really meant to be a funny non-sequitur (also BBCsherlock's response reveals that may have also quickly discerned this as a way for Esherlock to implicitly brag about his own sexual prowess). ;)
I appreciate your points of view, but I felt I had to make this editorial comment.

It reads really in character for the two of them, and I love how you included Euglassia Watsonia in, it adds a really nice touch! Plus, I love Elementary!Sherlock's beanie. It's adorable. :D Keep it up!
