This isn't within any continuity with the previous comic. It just so happened that I was making that Gotham/Elementay/Sherlock crossover comic when Episode 13 of Gotham happened. Needless to say my loving Batcat shipping heart was in pieces after watching Bruce's heart get shattered and stomped on. Ugh. I knew their relationship was going to become complicated and rocky, but I wasn't ready for it to happen so soon.
I understand why Selina drove him away. But it's still a knife to the heart for that dear young Bruce, so all I can do is give him some company among people who know about complicated relationships with their significant "female of the species", to quote Sir ACD.

Funny thing is that what happened in that episode will pretty much be reversed when they're older...
