Gotham Ep 10: Batcat Moments 1 by maryfgr23 Gotham Ep 10: Batcat Moments 1 by maryfgr23
Artist's note: Before reading this I urge you to watch the entire episode first and then come back to this. These are the actual scenes from the episode I'm graphically transcribing. I do not own Gotham or any of these characters.

Okay so this is the beginning of my reaction to the Gotham Fall Finale. I actually now have to deconstruct each BatCat scene to process the emotions the entire episode evoked in me. So strap in. There's like three or four more of these coming.

As much as this scene was superbly performed, I felt the need to translate it in comic format just so that I can change a bit of the pacing and highlight some important emotions that were conveyed.

Oh my god, Bruce how did you ever get to be a billionaire playboy talking to girls like that?

Also, Alfred, way to supervise those kids in the house.

Bruce: Obsessive, to much of a brain, yet good at reading people but has to work on social skills.
Selina: Playful, clever, yet can be sweet and caring when called for, but what bruce says is sadly also true to an extent, since latter on we see Selina help Ivy in an act of kindness, face these too have an affect on each other. And it never changes. And how can bruce say he feels he wouldn't be sutiable for her? Selina knows what she wants and she always finds a way to get it and she wants him and she has him and has sunk her claws in.

Dawwww, it's unfair. They have been my fav couple ever since the first comic I saw of that too. It's unfair how impossible couple they are, no matter what version ='(

Makes sense what Bruce knows about her. She is selfish to the point where she is practically nihilistic.  But deep down she does have a good heart, displayed by her willingness to help.

In a way I'm glad that Bruce thinks about what it means to really kiss a girl, he wants it to mean something for both himself and the girl. He likes Selina for her beauty but he wants to really get to know her. He's only a boy.

Lets not forget the billionaire playboy is the mask, it has never truly been what he really is.  But I agree he does need to work on it. How else are the criminals of Gotham going to think him as a weakling? This however is Selina, the one person he should never fake it for.

I like that even in this early stage they're showing that Bruce is pretty good at reading people; but I like that the skill is still underdeveloped. He completely misses the invitation- several invitations as a matter of fact- to kiss or in the case of this scene, make out. I can't comment on the writing since it's from the show, but I like the art, you have a cute style.

Foot in mouth syndrome. It's a wonder how Bruce became a playboy...probably with practice talking to her on what NOT to say! :P Cute comic~!
